Grove Snail (Cepaea nemoralis)

This snail had crawled part way up a dried out stem. I love the spiral pattern on their shells. They are actually very attractive creatures!

Beautifully captured natural event with many lovely shades of brown. I wonder if the snail spent the winter in its shell and climbed high enough to avoid the snow?? Just wondering... Voted.
