Malva, Common (Malva neglecta)

Fletcher Wildlife Garden

A common low-growing plant, another non-native species that has spread widely. This annual is found in open, sunny sites, usually in dry conditions. Another common name for this plant is Cheeses, because the seed head looks somewhat like a wheel of cheese. The flowers attract a lot of our native pollinating insects.
