Sawfly on Rudbeckia

Larose Forest

This tiny green sawfly was crawling over a petal on a Rudbeckia plant. There are so many sawfly larvae that are difficult to ID. Bug Guide has hundreds of pages of unidentified larvae. I guess one needs to rear them to see what they turn into.

By the way, sawfly larvae are not related to moths, though they look like caterpillars. They are actually a wasp in the order Hymenoptera.
