Ichneumonid wasp (Therion sp.)

Morewood Bog

It was a cold windy day a few days ago (unlike today which was much too hot for me... I'll take the colder weather!) and this wasp was clinging to a blueberry shrub, buffeted by the wind.

as gangly as it is colourful...d'accord as to weather conditions...some warmth is restorative, but there must be a feeling of freshness too..
