Walking through the forest today, I saw some snowshoe hare tracks and noticed that they seemed fairly fresh, and that they were leading onto a pile of logs. To my surprise, as I followed the tracks with my eyes, I saw this beauty sitting absolutely still. I didn't approach, but used the zoom lens to take some photos. Hares rely on sitting perfectly still to escape detection.
