Ice flowers

West Ottawa

The stream alongside the trail was lightly frozen and on top "bloomed" these lovely ice flowers, or that is what they looked like to me and my friend, who said they reminded her of water lilies.

Icy water lilies indeed! Beautiful. Believe it or not, we have a waterlily known as the Snowflake Lily - the resembles is striking!
