Great willowherb (Epilobium hirsutum)

Mer Bleue area

A species of willowherb native to Europe, North Africa and parts of Asia, it has been introduced to North America. It grows in damp to wet areas, and I've seen it in a few locations in the Ottawa area, but it is considered rare here. It also goes by the name of hairy willowherb.
