Covering the leaf

I think this is probably a slime mould, given the way it has oozed across the leaf. It was quite a striking thing to see, when I came across it a few years ago in the Mer Bleue Conservation Area.

Mini Blob. And we wonder if the aliens are ever going to show up. Not a creature but a colony of single cell critters that hang out together when times are tough. I know this because I just read about in Wikpedia. All the best in 2015.
