Mulberry wing (Poanes massasoit)

A very small population of this skipper species occurs in Larose Forest. It is quite rare in the Ottawa area, and the forest is one of the few sites where it can be seen.

Makes me think of summer! This reminds me of our Peck's skipper. It has similar markings on the wings. Very nice.
