On Willow sp.
Sawflies are pretty common at this time of year, and many specialize on one or two types of plants. Even so, identification can be surprisingly difficult with many sawfly larvae still causing problems for even experts, who recommend rearing the larvae so that the adult can be identified (easier to ID than larvae).
