Mustard white butterfly (Pieris napi)

Nectaring on goldenrod. This butterfly has two generations per year in this region, the first flying in spring when the adults have a lovely rich creamy yellow colour and a very distinct pattern. The second generation, this one, is much more subdued in colouring.

A lovely composition, and I like the translucence of the wings. V.
