The predatory stink bugs feed on caterpillars and other insects, unlike other stink bugs which feed on plant matter. This one has found and killed a mourning cloak butterfly caterpillar (larva). There were only a few caterpillars left on the elm tree where earlier in the week there had been 100+. They have left to pupate, except the few who have been caught by these guys.
