Corn gromwell (Lithospermum arvense) seedheads

A non-native species that is fairly common and widespread but usually goes unnoticed as it is quite inconspicuous. It is more noticeable in winter, with its shiny hard seedheads. The flowers (next image) are tiny and innocuous!
