Wasps in the garden

I've planted my garden with plants that attract a variety of insects, and every day there is something interesting to see. Yesterday afternoon, there were three species of wasps all visiting the boneset flowers (Eupatorium perfoliatum). The one on the left is a Sphecid wasp, Isodontia mexicana, a native species, which preys on grasshoppers and crickets. Top right is a potter wasp, Eumenes sp., which will fill its clay-pot nest with caterpillars. Bottom right is the great black digger, a large Sphecid wasp which lays its eggs in underground burrows, provisioned with large grasshoppers.
