Atlantis fritillary (Speyeria atlantis)

There were at least a dozen of these medium-sized fritillaries along a trail in Gatineau Park. This one is nectaring on vetch (Vicia cracca), a non-native plant but one that attracts lots of butterflies and other insects seeking nectar.
