Of all beetles, my favourite family is the Chrysomelidae because the species within it are usually so beautifully patterned and often brightly coloured. And of the Chrysomelids, the Calligrapha beetles are just about my number one favourite. This particular calligrapha beetle is usually found on willow trees. I find the markings and silvery colouring to be quite elegant.
