Round-necked longhorn (Cyrtophorus verrucosus)

This small longhorned beetle was also found on goutweed in Rockcliffe Park. This beetle species is very antlike in appearance and I had to look twice to make sure it really was a beetle and not an ant.

In this magnified and detailed close up, I can see it is a beetle. I can also see how it could look like an ant. Beautiful on the cloud of white flowers. V.
