Steeplebush (Spirea tomentosa)

Photographed in Larose Forest. The white-flowered spirea (S. latifolia)is more common than this species, so it is always nice to see this tomentosa. Both are plants of damp sites, and both are native species, growing near wetlands. There are cultivated forms of other spireas, not related to these two species.
