Oak rough bullet galls

Greens Creek

A fine big cluster of galls on a bur oak (Quercus macrocarpa). These are made by a species of Cynipid wasp, likely Disholcaspis quercusmamma a tiny wasp rarely seen because so small. These galls all have exit holes on them.
