Ready to go!

This is the second monarch butterfly I reared. She was released this morning and flew straight up, circled the rooftop and then landed at the top of a tall sugar maple in my front garden. Yesterday, the male was released and he immediately headed due south!

Cool Christine! One year the grand kids and I fed and released 30! It was a free range butterfly nursery!

Way to go Mum. Did you name them? Sad to see them grow up so quickly but with your tender care they are ready for their journey.
Fabulous shot with reflection.

Very nice image and terrific experiment Christine. Must have been exiting to see them develop and then fly off.
