Flower longhorn beetle (Gaurotes cyanipennis)

Found this shiny beetle on some goutweed which was growing on the edge of a wooded area in Rockcliffe Park. There were 4 other species of long-horned beetles along with this one, so obviously this flower is very attractive to them. There were also assassin bugs, bees of various species, and some wasps nectaring on the goutweed too.

This is very like some of the European long horns, most of which are wood borers! Splendid looking beastie!
