Assassin bug (Fitchia aptera)

Found this very small assassin bug crossing an abandoned road. If it had been in its usual habitat of grass, I'd never have seen it! It is an unusual creature in that its wings are so reduced as to be almost non-existent, which is why the abdomen is so exposed.

Superbe macro de cet insecte bien rarement visible.
Merci pour l’explication.

Never seen anything like it either. Looks a bit like a bottle.
