Moth (Rheumaptera sp.)

This very pretty black and white moth was photographed in Larose Forest. It is a Geometrid moth, in the Genus Rheumaptera. There are two very similar species, hastata and subhustata, and both are extremely variable and difficult to tell apart, so I'm leaving this at the Genus level only.

Great clear shot of this beautiful moth. I think we only have the R. hastata in this country. V

interesting the basic black and white...classic color combination for big city wear as well as Larose forest, it seems....
