Question mark (Polygonia interrogationis)

Sitting in my garden yesterday, I enjoyed seeing a number of butterflies such as Canadian tiger swallowtails, and several of these question marks. You can see the marks on the underside of the wing that give this butterfly its name: the white comma and dot can look like a question mark (or sometimes an exclamation mark!).

Do not see these very often, I am happy that you do, a lovely butterfly with interesting markings as you point out.

Bravo! Good catch!... I have a question for you... This morning I had shot a Dragonfly and when I looked closely on my computer I saw that her right eye seems to be "deflated"... Is this something usual on Dragonflies?http://www.pbase.com/dansudbury/image/143687998 Thanks!
