Red fox (Vulpes vulpes)

For me to leave! After taking the previous photo, I headed up the slope to where there was an old concrete pad, remains of a building from long ago, on the edge of the woods. The fox followed me up there and sat down warily watching to make sure I left. When foxes have young to protect, they are less wary for themselves. I always worry about them being so visible as not everyone will be thrilled to see such a pretty animal.

Great find and photo. We have lots of foxes here, but we seldom see them. I only had the oppotunity to see it two times. Weather is terrible here, cold and wet, not much to see and no improving the common weeks.

I think it's disgusting that some wouldn't be thrilled. What are we teaching our kids? Nature is beautiful and necessary for our well-being. Great shot.

Almost human in his behaviour, slightly unnerving as well maybe. But these two images are just wonderful.
