Goldenrod Crab spider, female (Misumena vatia) with beefly

Taken on one of the rare sunny days of the last 10 days! The tiny crab spider, hiding in the dandelion, got lucky when this beefly landed. The beefly itself is not very big, as you can see by comparing it to the size of the dandelion, and the spider is that much smaller, barely visible. Beeflies are not bees, by the way, but flies (Diptera).
