Sasha relaxing

Or trying to, anyway. She is still quite stressed out about being in a new home after nearly 9 months in the shelter. The stress is manifesting itself mostly in her refusal to eat much, which is worrying me. She did finally, eat about 1 cup of dry food today. Hopefully, each day will get better. However, she is not at all shy about finding the comfy spots to snuggle up in!

She is just so beautiful. Poor baby. I have no doubt she will come around under your care. Lovely portrait. V.

She will learn and be used to everything that you give her a lot of care with so much love, I agree at Jim's opinion also, Christine.

That is one sweet image!! I try to put myself in her situation and think about what it would be like to be suddenly placed in a different environment. It must be confusing but soon she will realize how much she is loved and she will return that love many times over..

Well done!

Her world was just turned around again after 9 months of the "normalcy" in the shelter. You might try some food other than the "dry" to get her to eat more. Lots of love, which I know you give her, should prevail eventually. She's young - she'll come around.

We had many problems getting Oscar to eat as well and it took weeks, if not months, before he started eating normal meals. Anyway, if you haven't tried this already, I recommend using toppers of fresh meat on the kibble. Perhaps she needs something more appealing than 'just kibble'. I'm sure if she's hungry enough, she'll eat what's put out for her (assuming there aren't any underlying health issues.) She does look comfy though in her new chair. :-)
