Broad-headed bug (Protenor belfragei)

Despite its distinctly narrow head, this bug belongs to the Family Alydidae, the Broad-headed Bugs. It is fairly common at this time of year, and can be seen around wetlands, or damp meadows.

Has all the flatness of a nail clipper, much prettier though with its detailed patterned topside. Looks pretty agile too.
