A familiar site along trails and woodland edges throughout the region. The seedheads are almost prettier than the small white flowers which grace this indigenous trailing vine.
This is interesting! I know clematis as a garden plant quite well, but I didn't know we had wild clematis around here. And you say it is a familiar sight! I'll have to keep an eye out for these.
