Empty Monarch butterfly chrysalis

One of my monarchs emerged today and has now set sail into the world. I hope for the best. I took a photo of the empty chrysalis because it is still pretty. That silk at the top, with which it was affixed to the container, is incredibly strong!

Another interesting find, nice image and good info Christine. I initially thought it was a crushed plastic water bottle.

Fabulous, like an empty aerosol can. Better put it in the right recycling bin!
