Ant with Cabbage White butterfly

In my garden. I found this dead cabbage white and while I was looking at it, this ant came along and immediately tried to move it. He tugged at the abdomen as here, the wings, the antennae, the face, the thorax, then back to the abdomen. In the process he became covered with scales from the wings.

In french we have a saying that would probably translate something like this "the eyes bigger than the stomach" -les yeux plus grands que la panse. Great shot! V.

a herculean task to shift such a disproportionately large find...fabulous and gritty scene...V

In a way it's sad but it is nature. The moth is huge compared to the ant. Did it manage to drag it? V.
