Hackberry emperor (Asterocampa celtis)

This butterfly is quite rare around Ottawa as it is associated with the hackberry tree (Celtis occidentalis) which is also fairly rare in Ottawa. However, the Petrie Islands have a nice mature hackberry stand and over the last few years this species has been found there almost annually. A few days ago it was reported for the first time this year from Petrie, so this morning I went off in search of it and after a relatively easy search, found this single individual.
