The Missouri Department of Natural Resources manages the Battle of Island Mound State Historic Site as a state park. In addition to signage providing historical context and describing the battle, the park includes an historic marker, a viewing station looking out over the site, a .6-mile walking path through the site, a picnic shelter and public restroom.

The park is located west of Butler, MO, via 52 then K then NW 1002 Road. (Motorcylists, be advised, NW 1002 Rd. is gravel.)
