This window is in a pioneer home on a hill above the Mississippi River.
Many of the friends and family of the pioneer woman who lived here migrated west.
The reflection of the great Mississippi River in this window seemed to connect my heart to hers,
and I wondered if she ever looked out through this window and longed
for the time before her husband died.
