Modern Impressionism brings an element of life to our man-made world. Buildings, cars, and wires retain their strong geometric lines and angles in a photograph; however, with an impressionistic treatment an inner dimension is released.
Many of my Impressionistic cityscapes are created using camera techniques only. I love how the natural flow of movement can create an Impressionistic image from such strong, straight lines.
I am fascinated by what happens to man-made images when they are reflected in glass buildings. Wonderful changes happen as the color, lines, and shapes are broken into pieces and remake themselves into mosaics.
