I like them both. They each send their own message, you know? One is funny as your brother says, and the other one has more of a manequin pose for a magazine feel. it's good to crop - sometimes, you end up seeing things you wouldn't have originally.
Check out the croping I did on my horses photos. I went crazy. You've created a monster. Ha ha ha

I like this one! I think it's cool to see the 3 hats in a row and I like the colors. Siblings are allowed to disagree!
Lara, they are both good, I like to crop things into a panoramic alot, but it doesn't mean it's always the right thing to do! Fun experimenting though!
Thanks for visiting my site the other day. To disagree with my sister, I think your original crop was better. The hat on a real head without the whole table, etc. was humorous. On the other hand, this is a good shot of the three heads and hats, if you don't want to be funny.
