I stopped driving home to take pictures of this old wooden house and Mrs Pinckney walked across the road to see what I was doing. She was kind enough to let me photograph her old homeplace and tell me a bit of the story about it. She and her husband build it from pine and cypres logs they cut from their land and had milled in Summerville. She reared six children here (one pictured), most of whom still live near her new home across the way.
