Carcoar was considered a possible site for Australia's capital in the early days of federation.
Hearings held in this courthouse in 1903 led to the decision that it was a bit too hilly.
Films have been made here and a local potter uses some rooms in the building to display and
sell her wares. (She did at the time of this first visit, but seemed to have gone in 2005.)
