Ruins of Caiwarro Station

Currawinya National Park, Queensland view map

Abandoned, destroyed by bushfire and drought - I don't know in what order, but
the remains have been bulldozed into sad heaps. There was a tennis court here once.

i was a young jackeroo at caiwarro 1969/70.the framework in this photo was the j/roo quarters. the station was owned by AML&F in those days & i loved working there..after nat. parks took control the place went to ruin i am told, went back for a look about in 1996 & was very sad to see the place as it now is.we used to waterski on the bighole on the paroo behind the homestead
