Cockington Green is a tourist attraction just outside Canberra. We visited it twenty years ago, and remembered it as a pleasant curiosity, with miniature English villages. We visited it again recently on a sunny spring Saturday. It has improved immensely (or our memories have faded): it is now spectacular. It still has the scale models illustrating English village life (with explanatory signs which I failed to record) and also an "International Section" with scale models of significant buildings in other countries, often sponsored by embassies or representatives of those countries. All in beautiful garden settings. A busy place when we visited, and I had to gimp-out the odd visitor's leg; we usually avoid crowds but found the visit a delight. Recommended to anybody within a few hours of Canberra.
