Egret on the Wing

That is a phrase I would rarely use -"bird on the wing" instead of ,flying bird. But somewhere along the way in childhood it stuck with me, so here it is: Bird on the Wing.

Such a sharp capture of the egret, and set in a lovely composition with marvelous reflections. That phrase sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I've never seen it used! V.
