Safe-Harbor

Had a camera body converted to infrared recently and am still experimenting with composition. Here I am not sure if having white elements in the foreground is a good thing??

I think exactly the white elements in the foreground produce a feeling of threat against the unreachable boats in their "Safe-Harbor". An interesting composition Lamar. v. norbi

Wonderful tones and perspective. I agree with David, the trees certainly work well in the foreground and the IR brings out the details very nicely. The trees on either side frame the composition well and draw the eye to the center of the frame. I am watching these images with great interest as I am considering converting one of my older camera bodies to IR myself. "V"

with green foliage appearing white in the infrared spectrum, those trees become the principal points of interest, so sit well at the front...they also add depth as they stand out well, and the white is echoed in the distant puffy clouds...love this blue/white palette..V
