What a great time we had on the SouthLake SCRC "Steel Buns" ride to Ft. Lauderdale! Moose, Rocky, Bob, Ried, Scott, Cat, and Larry all earned their 'steel buns' today! Leaving Clermont around 7:30am, we found our way down Rte 27; had lunch at the Roadhouse Grille in Ft. Lauderdale; a nice scenic trip with a number of stops along "Alligator Alley"; a short hop onto Rte 29 for more alligators and then back onto Rte27 for the ride back north. Excellent job to our Road Captain Moose for leading us (I dont recall any u-turn's!), and Reid did his usual good job in watching our backsides...:-)

On the trip back, we all stopped at my house for relaxation and a couple of burgers....not to mention getting out of some unexpected rain. Sandy, Courtney and I were more than happy to have everyone, and we hope you enjoyed the stop!

Other than Cat's radio and alittle rain...the day was just perfect! No breakdowns or mishaps made for a very enjoyable 500+ mile ride! Thanks to everyone for your company and friendship! Look forward to the next one!
