This photo was taken in the wild, by pure luck. I was lying on my stomach at the stone that seemed to be the preferred sunning place of this male lizard. (The animal is about 8 inches long, and half of that is the tail.) I was glad enough to be able to slowly creep close with my camera - imagine my excitement when I saw the spider running up the body and standing still on the head of the lizard.
