My garden shrouded in fog at daybreak. This was taken as soon as it was light enough to get a shot.
This is a rare sight in winter at here in our sub tropical state it is our dry season...well for the past ten years every season has been a " dry " one.
We live in a rurual area & rely on manmade dams for water for stock & gardens & rainwater tanks that collect runoff from the house & building roofs to supply the household...restrictions are a normal part of life.
The idea has finally caught up with the city-ites who now no longer are allowed to use hoses, or wash cars or windows & only bucket water their gardens. The catchment areas are at an all time low at mid 20 % level. They have not gathered any rain since January & then it was far from enough to meet the supply & demand. Yesterday 25mm fell there which is about a weeks worth of supply...what a small blessing it was. We had 30mm our rainwater tanks are filled again...yipee, we are saved from buying & having it trucked in.
