I love frogmouths too! We used to have one every morning greet us in the same tree in our backyard. Lovely, VOTE!

Do they call similarly to an owl? You were so lucky with your timing! He looks a bit worried in this shot, probably anxious about your flash...

Great shot Laine. You came home on the right moment. How did you see him in the dark and great his site there long enought to make the pictures. He looks like an owl. Funny birds and other animals you have in Australia. I love to see them.
