I love their gray delineation.

Excellent capture!

It appears as though you interrupted their conversation! They look slightly (in body type, and to me who knows little about birds that could simply mean 'it has wings') like our Blue Jays. They don't babble so much as berate, but they are quite talkative as well.

They are interesting birds, laine and I really like the photo!
Valeska10-Mar-2005 09:01

really nice capture laine... maybe a tad oversharpened.
Guest 09-Mar-2005 12:37
Clearly, they must be a bird that talks a lot! We should grab some of them for our pad comments - alleviate some of our workload each day! Cool shot.
northstar3709-Mar-2005 11:17
what a great name, heheh
Karen Stuebing09-Mar-2005 11:16
Me either. I have no idea what they are but judging from the name, they must make a lot of noise. Neat little guys and great capture.
Guest 09-Mar-2005 10:33
Never heard of babblers, but they look like interesting little dudes!!
Pepe Zyman09-Mar-2005 06:13
Very nice composition!
Guest 09-Mar-2005 03:29
Great image ... I like how the two babblers on the left are almost mirror image of each other!
Gary Winters09-Mar-2005 03:04
So, pbase wouldn't let you babble on about these birds? (ducking!) Well, I appreciate the link to the website and this picture as well (and i won't mention a word to the PAD police!)
petesie09-Mar-2005 02:44
Actually, I think this is a wonderful image, the birds are clear and there are so many textures. Now I've seen a Babbler. Thanks, Laine.

I think this is a neat photograph. I wonder if we have babblers here. I have taken pictures of some birds that look like this. I'll have to pull them up.
Guest 08-Mar-2005 21:44
I've never even heard of Babblers. They must not exist in NW USA. Nice photo, even if a little dusty. LOL
littleheifer08-Mar-2005 20:24

ah so they're Babblers! :-)
jypsee08-Mar-2005 19:33
I LIKE this photo!! composition is very good and the "photo grain" that I see on my monitor makes it more tactile. Great eye; great photo... glad you posted it!! (I'm pretty tired of pbase instability, but don't know what the alternative will be....)
purpod08-Mar-2005 19:21
With the one standing on the ledge, it looks like he's giving a sermon or something! Nice shot, even if you think it's fuzzy!
Gayle P. Clement08-Mar-2005 19:10
So that's what they look like.
Lee Rudd08-Mar-2005 18:49
