Paperbarks are differant & interesting to look at. This one grows outside my work building. The whirlygig on the roof is a great asset for drawing heat out of the ceiling on our hot summer days...which reminds me only one more day after this one & summer is over.

Great colours and sharpness. I like those trees, bark makes for great textural shots...

Interesting and educational shot. I've never seen a paperbark tree. It does have cool bark. And I've never heard of whirlygig either.

your camera seems to produce nice contrasty skies. that tree seems
to have a dandruff problem. ;)

There is beauty in everything. You proved it with this photo including a ventilation fan. You just need to be able to see it. Nice.

V ery good shot Laine; like all the tonal ranges presented here and your comp is good with the exhaust fan btween the trees. (I wish it was the first day of summer, day after tomorrow. Or spring, for that matter...). lets see more of the new cam!

Like SIlver Birch bark - you can't resist peeling it off?

Hi Laine, very interesting tree bark.... I like the whirlygig... BTW Thanks for the vote! Sorry your summer's ending. I always have mixed feelings at that time of year. :-)

Don't be too quick to wish for winter!! The tree is a great subject, I like how it looks like it is being peeled. Enjoy your new camera.
