This poor young Kingfisher lost it's direction & flew into the glass door. This is the bird that I explained the ants in the tree share their nest with... A few minutes recovery time & it was on it's way again.
My husband teaching our young dog how we respect the rights of everything around here.

Great shot. Birds are always flying into our windows. The lucky ones recover quickly and fly on.

Nicely done, Laine

Am I the only one who's thinking this could be the new Tom & Jerry?

Love the dog's nose in this shot. My house is all glass on one side, unfortunately we often have birds flying into it...especially on sunny days.

Poor little thing. Glad it recovered. Neat photo. The dog looks remotely interested. Probably wondering if he can eat it. :)

IMHO, Kingfishers are among the most beautiful of birds. I've always had a soft spot for 'em. Poor little thing, glad he's okay now!

I know the feeling well as we have birds fly into our windows almost daily. I have had to help a few recover. It is a good feeling isn't it Laine.

So cute! Now we know that you keep your windows really clean.

I'm glad that he was able to fly off again. Thanks for the shot. Good job.

Aww poor thing, that was so nice of you guys to care for the young Kingfisher.

Poor little thing. The windows must reflect more than usual at this time
of year. We've had a few crashes too. It always amazes me how quickly they
recover and fly off!
nomadicdragon04-Feb-2005 00:20
awwww poor bird.
Guest 03-Feb-2005 23:39
Poor little thing! I'm glad it was ok!
Guest 03-Feb-2005 23:38

He's lucky to be alive I'd say.
Guest 03-Feb-2005 23:17
