15-JAN-2005

When the sun hits the flowers of the Buckinghamia Celsissima...Ivory Curl... it is as if you have opened a bees nest filled with honey. It is the strongest of nectar perfumes & it's level with the second story bedroom. This was at 6.30 am today so I thought it a nice summery shot...though not the clearest, to post today.
Cheryl's question has prompted me to add, this is an Australian Rainforest plant.

Very pretty bush. I imagine the smell is wonderful when you open your windows.

I smell once the Jasmine in Greech and that smell was so nice, so sweet. I will believe its nice to smell this so early in the morning. The Jasmine smells the most in the evening and night. And this one? Is it in your garden?

How beautiful, reminds me of living on my hubbies grandfathers farm, we had a huge lilac bush under our living room window, and in the spring when they bloomed, our living room was filled with it's scent, it was heaven.

All I can say is, you're UP at 6:30 a.m. with enough presence of mind to take a picture? Whoa... ((shaking head))

Nice view from your bedroom window! Interesting looking tree with unusual looking
blooms - will check it out in Macoboys - it's not one for growing down south.

This is beautiful. The bush looks like my hair did when I was 4 or 5 and my older sisters would curl it to death.
Guest 14-Jan-2005 23:17
What a great looking tree! And as for your brightness at 6.30am, it doesn't even get that bright here at midday at the moment!
